How It Works
Schools start by creating lists for people to
subscribe to. You can have unlimited lists in
OneNotify. Once
your lists are created, you can optionally enroll additional
people from your organization and authorize them to send
messages to lists. Permission is granted on a per-list basis so
you can easily limit which lists each sender is allowed to see.
Parents, students and staff arrive at OneNotify from a link on
your website. They sign up, and can register up to two regular email
addresses, up to two cellphone/pager email addresses for mobile messaging, and
up to two phone numbers for voice calls. They indicate
which lists they wish to subscribe to and that's it! They can
return at any time and edit their devices and list preferences.
When ready to send a message,
simply sign in and type your mobile message, your email message, and
select an optional voice file. (If you wish to send a voice call, you can
record new voice messages by phone or using your computer. Once
uploaded, those files are available for use again and again).
You can also optionally compose a message that will appear for a
specified duration on your website!
OneNotify
Uses
OneNotify has many uses. Each message can be tagged to be sent
to an email address, a phone with email-receiving capabilities, voice
call, or any combination. All messages
can be initiated from any computer with an internet connection.
